I was inspired to write this song when I missed the partial lunar eclipse last November because of clouds. I stayed up all night to watch the eclipse, and when it came time at 4 am to see it, I saw nothing but haze in the sky. So I sat down, defeated, and wrote a song. Although I didn’t get to see the eclipse, at least I got a song out of the experience.
