If you’re dogging NoName and Little Simz, I’ve got something that deserves your attention.

Montreal-based hip hop artist Chung makes music you can vibe to. Driven by her Jamaican roots and her 90s hip hop and r&b musical upbringing, Daidra blends soulful motifs with a solid and rapid delivery. Raised in an Anglophone enclave in the LaSalle borough of Montreal, Canada, she adopted her stage name from the Street Fighter character Chung Li, a nod to her facial features as well as her interest in martial arts.

Mad props to Cotola who produced “High Waves” and created the best stage for her flow delivery. Chung is set to release her debut EP together with him – a project that promises a combination of street narratives from a rude gyal’s perspective with raw, soulful dramatic beats.
