Ariana Grande has officially confirmed that a new studio album is on the horizon. Titled Petal, the project serves as the highly anticipated follow-up to her 2024 release, Eternal Sunshine. The upcoming record is executive produced and co-written by Grande alongside Ilya, marking a reunion with the hitmaker behind her smash single “Problem.” Petal is scheduled for release on July 31 via Republic.

In a recent press release, Grande offered a glimpse into the thematic direction of the new music, describing Petal as “something that is full of life and growing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging.”

The album arrives during a busy period for the pop superstar, who has balanced her musical career with significant success on the screen, most notably within the Wicked franchise. Her return to the stage is also imminent; last August, Grande announced a major tour kicking off this June, marking her first live concert series since 2019. Additionally, her starring role in Focker-in-Law—the latest installment in the Meet the Parents franchise—was recently teased in a trailer released earlier this month.
