When I saw a new Dario Lessing track appear in my Release Radar, I was already picturing his signature jazzy piano phrases and mellow drum beats. And I wasn’t disappointed. In fact, I was even more pleasantly surprised once I heard the incredibly smooth vocal lines on this track, which I wasn’t expecting, but welcomed with open arms (ears maybe?).

On “Blossom” Rezar steps in for a soulful Tom Misch-esque vocal performance. A laid-back flow, full of warmth and nuance brings the song to life by locking in with the harmony and grooves of the instrumental. Full of subtle textures and effects behind every corner of the arrangement, “Blossom” is a must-listen for everyone who loves the beat-driven neo-soul of Tom Misch, Yussef Dayes, Loyle Carner, The Kount and everyone in between.
