Norwegian composer and trumpeter Rolf Wallin is one of the leading contemporary Nordic composers, widely performed and commissioned internationally. His musical background spans from jazz, avant garde rock and early music to traditional classical training. He has announced the released of a new album called TWINE which will be out tomorrow via nonclassical. It is a collaboration with Scandinavia based percussion collective SISU Percussion Ensemble.
According to the press release, The pieces bring together the composer and artists’ combined interest in nature, particularly the patterns and textures that are form in natural materials. The album celebrates a long-standing collaboration that has grown over many decades.
