BÜ is the project of Austrain singer-songwriter, musician and composer Stefan Bürgermeister. Known for a taste for kitsch and cheezy style, the sound of his songs evokes the vibe of 70s and 80s pop melodies. He has announced the release of a new album called Night Train which will be out this summer via Some Other Planet Records.
Today we have the pleasure to share a new track called “Honey Bee” which comes with the official video. It features piano and guitar work by Magnus Bang Olsen from the Zenmenn. According to the press release, In the video, Bü gets doused with honey until he collapses and enters the dream world of his honey bee… in the end you hear her sing as she flies.
He explains: “Honey Bee is a tasty, sweet song that oozes with sugary syrup right down the lo-fi sounds of the guitar, piano and synthesizers. The song paints a colourful and psychedelic landscape where a freaky queen bee rules. At the end of the song you can hear her buzzing vocals while your mind drowns in a golden lake of honey.”
