CIVIC TV is the solo project of Toronto songwriter Lowell Sostomi. He has announced the signing with Flemish Eye and has released the debut album called Black Moon. According to the press release, His debut record was self-produced largely DIY at his home studio during lockdown and succinctly captures the claustrophobic tone of our post-apocalyptic era. Having spent the past decade in the Toronto indie pop scene, organising experimental music nights and playing in bands such as Great Bloomers and touring with Wooden Sky, Sostomi used the lock down to experiment with sounds worlds away from anything he had done before: “I wanted to try out something that sounded uglier and darker, playing melodies I’ve never played before and singing in ways I have never sung before”.

He has shared a new animated video for the track “prime time“. Watch it below.
