French pianist Vanessa Wagner has announced the release of a new album which follows 2022’s The Study of InvisibleMirrored will be out on November 25th via InFiné. According to the press release, she collects solo piano studies of graceful minimalism and rare finesse, including pieces by Ryuichi Sakamoto, Nico Muhly, Léo Ferré, Moondog, Camille Pepin, Melaine Dalibert.

This new album has been recorded at TAP-Théâtre-Auditorium de Poitiers and entirely produced in Dolby Atmos version. The artwork is an original sculpture by French artist Laurent Pernot. The new excerpt is a Nico Muhly composition called “Quiet Music”.

According to the press release, If the notes of Vanessa’s piano seem to feed on the silences, Quiet Music remains imbued with a hidden melody, almost sacred, evocative of Arvo Pärt which shapes throughout these four minutes a singular form of immersive and heady quiescence.
