Stray Theories is the project of New Zealand producer, sound artist, composer and musician Micah Templeton-Wolfe. Three years after All That Was Lost, he has announced the release of a new album called This Light which will be out on October 8th via n5md. “A Moment in Time” is the first excerpt.
According to the press release, This Light takes Templeton-Wolfe’s amalgam of modern classical, ambient, and post-rock and sheds ample focus on each aqueous element. It’s cinematic yet tranquil, with loads of melancholia—each work cascading to emotive heights. This Light is equal parts majesty, confidence, sincerity, and sympathy. So aptly named, the album can be seen as Templeton-Wolfe’s shining light in the Stray Theories catalog.
