Sofia Kourtesis is a Peruvian-born, Berlin-based musician and producer which released her first EP in 2019. One year after Sarita Colonia, she has announced the release of a new EP called Fresia Magdalena which will be out on March 19th via Technicolour (a Ninja Tune imprint). We already shared “La Perla“; “By Your Side” is a new excerpt.
Speaking of the track Kourtesis says: “‘By Your Side’ is about having someone there when you need it most. It was one of the first tracks I recorded for Fresia Magdalena and a lot of sounds and samples were recorded in and around Lima, Peru. For me it’s one of those songs that soundtracks the final few moments of daylight”
