New York based musician Rachika Nayar has announced the release of a new EP called Fragments which will be out on August 13th. It is part of THERE, an ongoing series of music recorded beyond but inspired by the imaginative efforts of Commend, RVNG Intl.’s Lower East Side space and storefront of the past six years.
According to the press release, Since her formative teenage years learning the guitar, Nayar used delay pedals to improvise layered pieces, eventually recognizing the practice as a deep source of self-exploration and restoration, fragments is not only a document of Nayar’s domesticity and the preliminary writing processes that evolve into song, but also a measurement of memory and spiritual realignment.
