Sara Battaglini is an Italian singer-songwriter, composer and musician. She has announced the release of a new album called Vernal Love which will be out on July 2nd via Auand Records. 7 tracks which shows her enchanting and evocative vocals, enhanced by the complex and refined electroacoustic textures.
The album features Simone Graziano, Francesco Ponticelli, Bernardo Guerra, Beppe Scardino and Jacopo Fagioli. According to the press release, it is a project dedicated to the concept of absence, not only meant as distance and lack but as a state of mind, as a “home”. It is a vision of life outside and inside a bubble in which we feel protected and imprisoned at the same time, in which we reach the point of greatest distance from what surrounds us but also the most intimate and sensitive depth of our soul.
She explains: “Vernal Love is a tale about the balance between what is dreamy and absurd in human frailty. It’s a drawing of a suspended place where the sky is below us, and so if we want to fly we just have to fall, and fall… Dialogues with different forms of the same material, points of view of a pure and total love.”
