Flõstate are a Canadian duo comprised of songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Avery Florence and producer MKSTN. Inspired by a wide variety of artists and genres, the duo site acts such as Beach House, Galimatias, Tame Impala, Jimi Hendrix, Lana Del Rey, Bon Iver, Enya, Little Mermaid, Matt Corby, Jeff Buckley and Pink Floyd as key influences to their sound.

We introduced them with the track “Time”; now they are back with a new track called “Dream Dance” which is out now via Lekker Collective. They explain: “Dream Dance is the longing for love in its purest form, bordering on obsession; this wanting of eternal love which we all hope exists.

“We only exist together” is the idea that love itself is an idea, a feeling, a fantasy and though it doesn’t have physical form it becomes a whole other entity in a relationship. Writing & singing this song always brings me the imagery of falling in love with someone on another planet, an impossible love.”
