The legendary Amy Winehouse’s landmark album Back to Black is set to receive a special 20th-anniversary reissue on October 23. This expanded collection promises to delight fans by including a wealth of rarities, B-sides, and a complete live album recorded at Amsterdam’s Paradiso on February 8, 2007, which is being made available in its entirety for the first time.
The reissue package, released via UMR/Island, will be available in 3xLP and 3xCD formats, both featuring updated cover art. The collection includes four previously unreleased demos, adding to the depth of the project and offering a rare glimpse into the creative process behind one of the most influential records of the 21st century.
Reflecting on the enduring legacy of the project, producer Mark Ronson shared his thoughts in a press release: “It’s crazy that six songs made in a fit of furious musical infatuation would matter so deeply to so many people twenty years later.” Fellow producer Salaam Remi added, “Amy was one of one. One-of-a-kind artist. One-of-a-kind spirit. One-of-a-kind soul. Experiencing that level of talent, passion, humour, honesty, and love for what she created was a gift.”
The tracklist for the Back to Black (20th Anniversary Edition) spans the original album alongside a curated selection of live performances and demos, including:
- Rehab
