British sound artist and musician Wil Bolton has released a new album called Above the Neon Glow which is out now via Hidden Vibes. According to the press release, it is inspired by moments of shade and tranquility in the blistering heat of a New York summer.
Guitars, mellotron, analogue and modular synthesizers and effects pedals combine with field recordings made in Coney Island, Brighton Beach and Williamsburg, on a bench in Central Park, outside a subway station in Queens and from an apartment window high above the traffic buzz and neon glow of Manhattan.
