CB is the new work of Scatterwound (Dirk Serries and N) which is out via Midira Records. According to the press release, On “CB” Scatterwound present the unbending cracking noises and buzzing drones of the 15minutes track “Merksem”, performed at Castle Bouckenborgh (Merksem, Belgium). A short but very intense performance, that shows how perfect the mutual reaction of both musicians works.
For the B Side of the tape, we invited Duane Pitre to do a rework of the track. Some years ago Duane met Dirk and N at the Moving Noises Festival and it was like a little flashback when we talked about doing the rework. The result is the complete opposite of the original track. Duane soothed the track and transformed it into an ambient track, making the guitars sound like a pipe organ.
