Indie-rock act The Nude Party will release their second LP, Midnight Manor, on Oct. 2 via New West Records. It was produced by Oakley Munson.

They paired the record announcement with a trippy video for the single “Shine Your Light,” directed by the band with Alex Purifoy and Bryan Janiczek during a COVID-19 quarantine. The clip, filmed at Munson’s property in the Catskills, is filled with gently surreal touches — a girl petting a white rabbit, eerie masks, people canoeing down a candle-lit creek — that fit the song’s late ’60s vibe.

“We were extremely fortunate to be quarantining with a lot of talented individuals,” keyboardist Don Merrill said of the visual in a statement. “Bryan Janizeck, Alex Purifoy, and Jenn Warren (roommate) all work in film, so we had a lot of experience behind the scenes. We had to make do with what we had under very different circumstances but between all us we were able to create something fun and new, unlike anything we’ve ever done before. We wanted to do something a little out of our norm and comfort zone…to showcase the area we live in and create some dark and captivating visuals. We could only afford to rent the camera for a week so we ended up doing 3 videos in that time frame.”

Midnight Manor follows the sextet’s debut LP, 2018’s The Nude Party, and 2016 Hot Tub EP, both produced by Munson.
