Raw and sexy are the first two words that come to mind throughout the experience we’re introduced to on Kicktracks’ latest release “When you are closer”.
It’s the somewhat sultry vocal sample that feels sensual, especially in the opening moments of the track when the sample is pitched down. Decorated around the sample is this tapestry of texture that goes well with not only the rhythm section but the overall feel of the sound selection too. If you listen closely you’ll hear noise that warms the synths to give “When you are closer” a disticnt touch.
