Edward White’s “Whatchu Want Me to Say” is the kind of house banger that’s able to whisk you away into a daydream yet also have you grooving.
It’s the drums that initially peaked my interest here, particularly the fills as they pack a punch and are forthcoming in the mix. This is complemented by moody vocal samples layered over these calming pads which create an atmospheric progression that felt utterly comforting. I was not surprised at all to see this gorgeous gem featured on EELF, one of the leading channels of Lo-fi House.
