This next feature is definitely an interesting one. At first Kiavi’s “Reflection” really reminded me of Toro y Moi and Washed Out, but then with the whole brass and drum experimentation, it kinda skewed towards BADBADNOTGOOD and Tame Impala. All acts I absolutely love, hence adding this to our feed was a no-brainer. I just wish it was longer, but there’s always that repeat button, right?
“Reflection” feels very spacious and emotional, and far from putting under one genre. One can definitely sense his jazz upbringings in this though. A union of experiences and styles, Kiavi funnels peace, spirituality, modern life, and love into his diverse work.
