Today, summer arrives early as multi-platinum-selling, GRAMMY®-nominated recording artists mgk and GRAMMY and Golden Globe-nominated recording artist Wiz Khalifa have reunited to drop their latest joint single, “girl next door.” Featuring dreamy melodies and a driving beat, the track captures the essence of warm nights and shared vibes, arriving just as Wiz prepares to join mgk on the second North American leg of his lost americana tour.

Watch the playfully nostalgic music video below:

Produced by close collaborators SlimXX, BazeXX, and No Love For The Middle Child, “girl next door” samples the indie electronic duo Sweet Trip, blending hazy dream-pop aesthetics with dance-floor-ready synths and propulsive percussion. The track highlights the dynamic range of both performers as they transition seamlessly between high-energy bars and melodic hooks.

This release marks the duo’s first collaboration since their 2013 fan-favorite, “Mind of a Stoner.” The effortless creative chemistry remains intact, carrying over into the official music video, which was directed by mgk’s longtime videographer Sam Cahill and Gianni Paolo, and features appearances by Lindsey Fishman, Naomi Baker, and Trevor Wallace.

The new single follows the success of mgk’s recent anthem “FIX UR FACE” featuring Fred Durst, which topped the Billboard Hot Hard Rock Songs chart. Meanwhile, Wiz Khalifa has maintained a busy 2026, releasing his album Khaotic in January and his Girls Love Horses project in February, followed by his recent Macrodose Tour.
