“Make It Last” is a laid-back neo-soul track, presented with sublime gentleness and emotion from the Dutch singer Cézanne. This is her debut single, with which she is definitely claiming her spot on the scene.
The song is about idealizing your crush, when in fact it is just lust and projection.
Inspired by Noname, ELIZA and Cleo Sol, Cézanne combines vocal harmonies and mellow keys with her warm vocals and spoken word. Gradually climbing the ladder of sexiness, the song’s elements create a cosy, yet lively atmosphere. The track is filled with tiny surprises, which enrich the sound and make it surprisingly dynamic and soul-tickling.
Currently, Cézanne is working on her first EP which will be released in February 2022 – till then she will release a couple of more tracks.
