As part of the highly anticipated 10th-anniversary celebration of her debut album No Burden, Lucy Dacus has officially released the fan-favorite track, “No Thank You, I Love You, Goodbye.” This release marks a significant moment for fans who have long awaited a studio version of the song, which has become a staple of her live performances over the years.
Originally penned during the No Burden era, the track captures the raw, introspective songwriting that first brought Dacus to prominence. For this official recording, she reunited with Richmond-based collaborators Adrian Olsen and guitarist Alan Good Parker to bring the song to life with a polished, definitive sound.
The release follows a massive summer for the artist, who headlined shows across the country and graced the stages of major festivals, including Newport Folk Festival, Outside Lands, and Bumbershoot. Dacus also expanded her musical horizons with a unique symphony performance alongside the Chicago Philharmonic at Millennium Park.
The tour is set to conclude on September 13 with a special performance at the Hollywood Bowl. Accompanied by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and sharing the bill with Cat Power, Dacus will present orchestral arrangements of her latest work, Forever Is A Feeling, alongside selections from her celebrated discography. These arrangements were crafted by Phoenix Rousiamani, a composer and member of Dacus’ touring band.
