Smooth, sexy, and heart-warming… Those are among the first few words that sprung to mind after my first experience with Allison Bysouth’s “Like You Do”.
It’s the beefy bass line paired with the slick drums that give the track a sultry vibe, along with Allison’s silk-reminiscent vocals of course. Once your attention draws towards her voice, you’ll pick up the affection that permeates from her songwriting by virtue of its romantic and beautifully honest tone – to the point where you’ll think to yourself, “Damn that must be one hell of a lucky guy/girl”.
Like You Do progresses into the idea of committing to the other person. Reflecting on other sexual relations/experiences, it is clear that her past lovers aren’t as compatible as this new relationship.
