The GRAMMY® Award-nominated, NYC-based soul-pop band Lawrence—co-fronted by the sibling duo Clyde and Gracie Lawrence—has officially returned with their latest single, “Feel Like That.” The track, which features a guest appearance from singer-songwriter JP Saxe, marks a significant new chapter for the group as they launch their partnership with 10K Projects/Atlantic Records.
“Feel Like That” serves as a poignant exploration of the emotional aftermath of a relationship. According to the band, the song captures the complexity of processing a breakup in real-time. “It’s about appreciating how strongly you have the capacity to feel, even when it’s not the right relationship,” the band shared. “Sometimes what you miss and fear losing is a feeling rather than a person. It’s especially meaningful to put this song out as a collaboration with JP, whose writing we’ve always admired. This song is such an intersection of the kind of music we all bonded over.”
For JP Saxe, the collaboration was equally personal. “I love this song,” he noted. “It’s about how terrifying it is to feel like you don’t have the capacity to be overwhelmed by love anymore. It’s very creepy stuff, and I’m so happy Lawrence and I get to be scared together.”
The single is a preview of the band’s upcoming EP, Office Party, which is slated for release later this year. The project promises a departure from their previous work, as the band has opted to partner with a different artist for every track. This collaborative approach allows the group to explore diverse musical textures without the pressure of maintaining a singular cohesive sound across the entire record.
Following a successful run on Charlie Puth’s Whatever’s Clever! World Tour, Lawrence is set to continue their momentum with a series of high-profile performances. Their “Staycation 2026” tour will feature multi-night residencies at the Brooklyn Paramount in New York and The Novo in Los Angeles. Additionally, the band will perform a special one-night-only show with the Colorado Symphony on September 18 at the Boettcher Concert Hall, blending their signature keyboard-driven soul with expansive orchestral arrangements.
