I hope I’m not the only one who gets the Kali Uchis vibe on T.O.N.I’s “Is you gud?”. It’s those reverb-drenched vocals along with how utterly seductive they sound which actually remind me of Kali.
It’s almost as if T.O.N.I uses her voice as an instrument by virtue of not only the fx stacked on them, but also because of their pleasantly melodic nature. I can’t neglect to mention the wave of chill the instrumental engulfs us in, especially thanks to the washed out guitars and the smooth bounce of the drums.
