If Kaytranada, Duckwrth, and Daniel Caesar were to make music together, it would sound like this absolutely magnificent blend of hip hop, soul, funk, and contemporary r&b. This is as hot as it can get.
Kid Renaissance actually caught our ear last year with his track “Head Over Heels“. Both artists are based out of Worcester, MA. Seems like a place that gives birth to talents! Despite their age (18 and 19 respectively), the guys have very sophisticated and evolved sound, and you can clearly see they’re trying to branch out of the conventional sound when it comes to the genres. The sparkle of 80s synth-funk is also a nice touch, which makes “INDIA” a serious contestant to my personal best of March selection.
