Jazzy guitar licks, late-night brass and indie pop vocals. An unusual match made in heaven. Something for the fans of Tom Misch, Egoh, and FKJ.

While this is Walshy’s first track, the artist is a known face in the Irish/UK scene as part of hip hop duo Caleb & Walshy. Today, he ventures out and expands his production into a more jazz and pop-driven sound, “Glass Case” being the perfect example for it.

The artist adapts antiphonal dialogue between two delayed saxophone melodies. Accompanied with warm, bluesy guitar licks and a gentle, chromatic piano scale, the tune is a perfect weekend afternoon chill out soundtrack. There’s quite a lot to unpack in this one, as it blends a number of influences in just 2 minutes and 10 seconds.

Beautiful work.
