A few weeks ago our mates imagiro and Charlie released their latest single “Boardwalk” via our friends at Memoir Music. Without a surprise, the single is nothing, but pure bliss. If I were ever to curate a soundtrack to a coming-out-of-age movie, then that track’s on there for sure. Beautifully hopefully and innocent, it carries this child-like sense of wander.
Fast-forward to today, I was pleasantly happy to see another producer I’ve been following closely Bad Snacks jumped onto the mix. The Portland-based multi-instrumentalist channels the original through her prism and transforms the ambient core of “Boardwalk” into a more cosmic beat-driven composition. I love the strings she little new elements she adds throughout the whole song. Makes you want to repeat it till the end of summer.
