Nance Brito, the real name of Cocoelusive, has Portuguese/Cape Verdean roots and had a tough childhood – social anxiety & difficulty maintaining focus. “I had a lot of learning difficulties growing up. My parents were a little old school and were not aware this was even a thing,” she explains. Diagnosed with ADD and dyslexia at a much later age, she soon found healing in music.
