Nubiyan Twist are a Leeds born London-based musical collective led by guitarist/producer Tom Excell. Their sound is a mix of different styles: jazz, hip-hop, afrobeat, latin, soul, reggae and dance music. They have announced the release of a new album called Freedom Fables which will be out on February 5th, 2021.
“Tittle Tattle” is the first excerpt. Band-leader Tom Excell says the following; “We’ve been eagerly waiting to unleash this track….Afro-jazz horn shouts, fearless vocals from Cherise and rolling soukous rhythms are framed in UK 2 two-step, garage and bass music – a real melting pot of influences showing the heavier side of what the band can do.”
