Mansur Brown is a London-based musician, better known for his collaboration with Yussef Dayes for Love Is The Message. Now he has announced the release of a new solo EP called NAQI Vol. 1 which will be out on September 30th via his own label, AMAI Records. “Rise” is the first excerpt.
Giving more context, Mansur explains: “Rise is a track about overcoming tests and tribulations. That’s always been the foundation of why I make music, and the message I want to spread. ‘Rise’ is a reflective track. It’s about finding yourself in that happy place when you overcome a struggle. I wanted it to feel like coming out of water and taking a gulp of fresh air.”
