Hiro Kone is the project of New York City-based electronic artist Nicky Mao. Two years after A Fossil Begins To Bray, she has announced the release of a new album called Silvercoat the throng which will be out on September 24th via Dais Records. It features ONO’s travis, Palestine’s Muqata’a, Speaker Music aka DeForrest Brown Jr.
According to the press release, the album emerged against the backdrop of lockdown, made of experimental techno, spoken word, neo-classical, and industrial noise, about creative strategies of solidification and reification, encounter and transformation, pure being and punctuation, the “possibility, rescued from darkness,” where sound designs are to become “more and more articulated, differentiated.”
We already shared “Nomad“; “Reciprocal Capture” is a new excerpt which comes with the official video.
