“Coma (for strings)” is a collaboration between Alexandra Hamilton-Ayres and Her Ensemble. Alexandra Hamilton-Ayres is an award-winning film composer and classical electronic artist based in Bristol; last autumn we spotted her brilliant “Dance”.
Formed during the pandemic, Her Ensemble brings together some of the most in demand section leaders and chamber musicians stemming from the European Union Youth Orchestra. Founder Ellie Consta was inspired to form Her Ensemble after realising that in 2019 just 3.6% of the classical music pieces performed worldwide were written by women and non-binary.
