Ali is the collaborative album between Malian guitarist Vieux Farka Touré and Houston-based trio Khruangbin (Laura Lee on bass, Mark Speer on guitar, and Donald Ray “DJ” Johnson Jr. on drums and keyboards). It will be out on September 23rd via Dead Oceans. It honours Vieux’s late father Ali Farka Touré. Check the first excerpt below.
