Pascal Schumacher is a Luxembourger composer and percussionist, now focused on vibraphone. Two years after SOL, he has announced the release of a new album called LUNA which will be out on March 25th. “Rhythmicon” is the first excerpt. He explains:
“Rhythmicon’ is my very personal tribute to Leon Theremin’s invention from 1931. Theremin’s rhythmicon is considered to be the first drum machine ever. Equally Steve Reich’s ‘Music for 18 musicians’ inspired me to add some marimba layers and vibraphone calls.”
