Misty Mtn is the project of Montana native vocalist/songwriter Mo Trunzo and Los Angeles native multi-instrumentalist Lucas Segall. The new single “Beachwood” serves as the emotional center of their new EP.
“The title comes from a specific gas station on Beachwood Dr we used to pass regularly,” says Mo. “It talks about seeing an ex, and imagining the ‘movie version’ of confronting them. It builds and builds into this swirling chaotic place like a movie montage or dream sequence.” With that vision in mind and supported by Mo’s crystal-clear vocals and Lucas’ absorbing production, “Beachwood” makes for a sharp emotional climb out of nostalgia and into the hopes of a fresh beginning.
