Marty Crown is an award winning Kazakh singer-songwriter and electronic musician based in California. She firstly found success in in Central Asia until 2016, then moved in Los Angeles where was supported by the label Silver Gun Records. Her first EP with the label was released in spring of 2017, along with the debut singles “Nomad Lullaby” and “We Are Here”.
According to the press release, she mbraces her roots and describes the feeling of starting anew in the US as a Kazakh immigrant using Balkan singing techniques and drawing from the aesthetics of Kazakh nomadic tribes in her imagery. Check the new track called “Queen of Sadness”.
