Distant Lovers is the musical project of San Francisco Bay Area-based musician Alex Lasner. The project began taking shape in his head while touring as a guitarist in the band Day Wave.
After relocating to Los Angeles in pursuit of a final spark of inspiration, he settled in Northern California and began recording songs that functioned as an internal travelogue of his adventures and served as the basis for Distant Lovers. “Hills” is the new track. He explains: “It’s about distraction, uncertainty, loneliness, and ultimately acceptance as a means of moving forward.”
