Back in 2021, Oakland producer and vocalist Brogan Bentley has released a new album called Diapason Rex. Now he’s back with a new single called “Precession of the Equinox” which is out now via Leaving Records.
According to the press release, The Precession of the Equinox is a 26,000 year planetary cycle of Earth’s axial rotation; a seemingly imperceivable span of time and astronomical awareness, yet understood and encrypted in the myths and sciences of advanced ancient civilizations. It indicates an expanded awareness of this reality and our place in the cosmos, suggesting the existence of communication with beings of higher intelligence and spiritual technologies.
This channeled music embodies the shift towards what arises when integrating these awarenesses. It was made during a time of great pain and uncertainty not just in Brogan’s own experience but collectively through forced periods of isolation and introspection. To reach through those thresholds and surrender to their teachings, finding on the other side there is a universal understanding of humanities place in the great unveiling, therein. In the alchemical process of transformation by which darkness is made light, lead turns to gold, and fear is transmuted into love in a unification of dualities, Precession of the Equinox was born.
It is Brogan’s hope that those who listen enter a formless space where the potential to create a reality using imagination and inspired transmissions for the highest potential feel supported by the same loving, all knowing hand that gave Brogan this song. To project this consciousness onto and into form is to create a beautiful external world where we can exist graciously. This consciousness is made accessible by merging meditative states and acts of creation. It is worth taking great care in such an honorable task.
