In the annals of contemporary music, Loka Mania Prawiro emerges as a luminary whose journey from Pepperdine University’s halls to the stage is as compelling as the melodies he weaves. Born in 1961, Loka’s bond with music blossomed at the tender age of five, fostering an affinity that would shape his destiny. By the age of nine, he had mastered the guitar and piano, drawing inspiration from a kaleidoscope of genres ranging from pop and rock to soul, R&B funk, and classical instrumentals.

In 1995, Loka took the plunge into the music industry, releasing his debut album, Back To the Old Days, which featured his iconic ballad, I Love You Evermore. Originally penned in Indonesian as “Aku Makin Cinta” for his beloved wife, this timeless composition quickly captivated audiences worldwide.

However, tragedy struck in 2018 with the loss of Loka‘s mother to cancer, plunging him into a profound period of grief and introspection. Music emerged as his solace, guiding him through the darkest of times. After an 18-year hiatus, Loka returned to the studio, infusing his compositions with raw emotion and spiritual insight.

I Love You Evermore, Loka’s latest album, is a heartfelt homage of love and loss. Comprising tracks like “Passion,” “The Secrets of a Woman’s Heart,” and “The Flower of My Heart,” the album is a tapestry of emotions, each song a poignant reminder of life’s fleeting beauty.

Collaborating with esteemed music arranger and producer Aminoto Kosin, Loka brought his vision to life, weaving intricate melodies that resonate with listeners on a visceral level. The Budapest Scoring Orchestra’s involvement adds a symphonic richness to the album, elevating it to new heights of auditory splendor.

For Loka, the creative process is an unfiltered expression of the heart. Drawing from personal experiences and emotions, each song is evidence of his authenticity and passion. I Love You Evermore surpasses mere music; it’s a journey of self-discovery and reflection, inviting listeners to delve into the depths of their souls.

As the album prepares to make its debut on September 1, 2023, Loka hopes to inspire audiences with its universal themes of love, resilience, and spiritual growth. With plans for future cinematic releases in the same genre, Loka’s musical journey promises to continue, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of listeners worldwide.
