The New Honey Shade is the project of Tulsa based producer and composer Mark Daniel Kuykendall. He has released a new album called Love Dreams. He explains: “Conceptualized and collaged from the 78rpm record collection gifted from my Great Grandfather, Clinton E. Riggs (Inventor of the Yield Sign, 1951). His tenacity for life, love of music, and curiosity for all cultures inspired me to create these works in his honor. Layering the 78 records and re-recording sections again in various spaces, time stretching, and fading in/out moments during random points within each song, allowed for the creation of familiar overlapping worlds, each paying homage to their initial thematic spark.”
