Nick Schofield is a Montreal based musician and composer. He has released a new album called Glass Gallery and composed entirely on Prophet-600 Synth; it is out now via Backward Music. According to the press release, It’s light and airy, and when you take a look at some images of Ottawa’s National Gallery of Canada, the architecture of which inspired the record, it’s makes perfect sense.

You can hear sunlight pouring down from high angles, large open spaces and enormous windows. I definitely see a lot of parallels with Japanese Environmental Music, which is namechecked in the bio alongside Laurie Spiegel.
