Berlin based producer and composer Marco Shuttle has released a new album called Cobalt Desert Oasis which is out now via Anthony Naples’ Incienso label. According to the press release, it is like two years of remote travels, very much condensed: field recordings, studio work, modulars, and photographs — all by Shuttle of course, as much analogue as possible. Finally, the album is also including Shuttle’s wonderful Persian hand drum Tombak, peculiarly acoustic, here more prominent than ever across his whole output. All orchestrated to concur for a vivid, A/V trip, pure “cinematic listening experience where psychedelia and mysticism weave together in a sort of alien soundscape”, “reminiscent of a parallel utopian world.”
