Under an array of different names, with a nucleus of different collaborators, and moved by an even greater set of influences, Laurent Baudoux aka Lawrence Le Doux has been etching a critical place in Belgium’s music scene for over two decades. He’s back with a new EP called eemail which is out now.
According to the press release, While staying true to his signature melange of dub and experimental electronics, he forays into the realm of minimalism, favoring crispy basslines and generative rhythms. The downtempo beats are complex but not overly so: enough to get into a deep listening state but always inviting and accessible.
