London based artist and producer Kit Grill is back with a new album called Ride. According to the press release, Created over a six-month period, Ride incorporates a new, distinct sound and marks a departure from previous work, shifting towards a more structured, focused form of composition, incorporating new sounds that build and fall to reveal space, texture and drama. His first release using the Fairlight CMI keyboard, ‘Ride’ offers a new sound palette for Grill, engendering experimentation with new patterns, unusual timbres, field recordings, vocals and samples.

He explains: “I owe a lot to the Fairlight CMI. Before working on the LP, I wanted a change and to move in a new direction. The Fairlight completely opened up a new way of working and sound palette to draw from.”
