Island People is the project consisting of mastering engineer Conor Dalton, grammy award winning producer David Donaldson, musician and DJ Graeme Reedie (one half of Silicone Soul) and guitarist Ian “Chippy” MacLennan. Four years after the self-titled debut album, they are back with the sophomore full-length called II which is out via Raster.
According to the press release, II’ album is like Island People’s Scotland,made of lights and harsh elements where time seems to stand still, circling the moment. ‘II’ is Island People’s step forward as a band through a more mature and complex sound, with richer textures and more present acoustic components.
