Endurance is the project of Japan based artist Joshua Stefane. He’s back with a new album called Lathe which is out now via Shimmering Moods. According to the press release, Lathe marks a return to Endurance’s more lush, tape-driven style, as heard on releases like Shade Terrarium and Sleep Until It’s Over. Using modular synthesizers and a Tascam Portastudio 424, slow loops undulate beneath faraway melodies and carefully filtered field recordings to create accompaniments for humid dreams and fading afternoons.
