Where We Meet is the collaborative effort between Belgian musician Stijn Hüwels and Swiss composer and sound artist Dominik Grenzler aka An Moku. It is part of Slowcraft Records Lifelines Series. According to the press release, they traded a planned performance for this remote exchange, recorded between Zurich and Leuven during lockdown, gifting us all with a much needed half-hour escape into soft realms of ease and respite. Here, on the duo’s first collaboration together, carefully weighted melodic gestures and micro-textured sound design merge effortlessly with longform, widescreen ambient drone, resulting in a dreamy and beautifully judged display of integrity and restraint.
