A Journey to Giraffes is the solo music project of Baltimore based sound artist and musician John Lane (of EXPO). One year after Armenia, he’s back with a new album called Spool which is out now via Somewherecold Records. According to the press release,  The touchstone of Spool is derived from reading W.G. Sebald’s trilogy of books: The Rings of Saturn, The Emigrants, and Vertigo. At the Heart of these boos is the idea of the traveler who must keep moving, documenting, and making sense of the threads by occasionally having to stop and just consider.
